Manage daily operations of the Crewing Department.
Be responsible for setting up crew policy and generating crew strategy.
Be responsible for sourcing and recruitment of all crew for the Company’s managed vessels including preparation of employment contracts.
Ensure that the crew are qualified i.e. meet the Company and legal requirements with regards to certification and experience prior to joining the vessel.
Plan and oversee crew schedule, crew rotation, sign on/off documentations, crew welfare.
Review crew payroll and ensure crew’s final accounts are properly verified and paid on signing off.
Prepare budget and plan the manning of vessels.
Monitor and identify crew training requirements.
Liaise with Masters, port authorities, crewing management vendors and ship agents.
Develop and evaluate vessels manning requirement.
Work closely with other departments to ensure the needs of clients are met with regards to crew requirements.
Requirements:
Previous experience in similar capacity preferably in Supply, AHTS, DSV, and/or Subsea operations.
Good knowledge of ISM, STCW requirement and international rules and regulations and union matters in relation to crewing.
Experience with handling multinational crews.
Proactive and able to work independently with the right attitude.
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
Possess excellent organizing, planning and problem solving skills.
A team player who is meticulous, hard working, reliable and trustworthy.
Ability to motivate and lead a team.
Ability to travel within short notice.
